Judge asks for Gender Neutral Domestic Violence Law – Idea is erroneous

Appreciate the judges view for making such a statement to make the domestic violence act neutral. In reality more men face domestic violence than men…

Fight for Justice

Madurai: The Madras High Court on Thursday called for a “neutral and non prejudicial” law to protect genuine victims of domestic violence, irrespective of the gender, noting that existing law contains a flaw that lends itself to easy misuse by women.

In the above news, the Madurai bench of Madras High Court has asked for a gender neutral law to tackle Domestic Violence. At the onset, in the wake of a rising men’s rights movement in India and scores of abused men thronging for justice, this idea might just catch the fantasy of many a those who are batting for battered men.

However, I choose to differ here. I don’t think it’s a great idea. Rather it’s an erroneous idea prone to extreme backlashes.

And before the brickbats come for me, here’s why I think it’s a bad idea.

Love making on board Indigo flight – How much is too much?

A women can do anything, no questions asked. On the ground or 35000 feet above the ground.

The Male Factor

Probably I would have never written about this anywhere but a question remained unsolved to me since I have traveled by Indigo flight 6E 271 and hence I am forced to write this.

I was traveling to Bangalore on 18th Dec by the flight and my seat number was 20A. I was very happy to get a window seat and as the flight was via Chennai flight it landed in Chennai airport first. The seat next to me was empty from beginning and a man was seating on the aisle seat. Initially I kept my laptop bag on the empty seat.

Indigo boarding pass

When the flight took off from Chennai the seat next to me was still empty. A woman who was traveling with the man came to occupy the seat next to me. I was not comfortable her coming next to me in an Indigo flight, but since they were…

Conversation between Ramakrishna Paramahansa and Swami Vivekananda

A rare conversation between Ramkrishna Paramahansa & Swami Vivekananda… it’s one of the best message I have come across….

1. Vivekanand:- I can’t find free time. Life has become hectic.

Paramahansa:- Activity gets you busy. But productivity gets you free.

2. Vivekanand:- Why has life become complicated now?

Paramahansa:- Stop analyzing life.. It makes it complicated. Just live it.

3. Vivekanand:- Why are we then constantly unhappy?

Paramahansa:- Worrying has become your habit. That’s why you are not happy.

4. Vivekanand:- Why do good people always suffer?

Paramahansa:- Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people go through trials, but don’t suffer.
With that experience their life becomes better, not bitter.

5. Vivekanand:- You mean to say such experience is useful?

Paramahansa:- Yes. In every term, Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and the lessons .

6.Vivekanand:- Because of so many problems, we don’t know where we are heading…

Paramahansa:- If you look outside you will not know where you are heading. Look inside. Eyes provide sight. Heart provides the way.

7. Vivekanand:- Does failure hurt more than moving in the right direction?

Paramahansa:- Success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you.

8. Vivekanand:- In tough times, how do you stay motivated?

Paramahansa:- Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go. Always count your blessing, not what you are missing.

9. Vivekanand:- What surprises you about people?

Paramahansa:- When they suffer they ask, “why me?” When they prosper, they never ask “Why me?”

10. Vivekanand:- How can I get the best out of life?

Paramahansa:- Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear.

11. Vivekanand:- One last question. Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered.

Paramahansa:- There are no unanswered prayers. Keep the faith and drop the fear. Life is a mystery to solve, not a problem to resolve. Trust me. Life is wonderful if you know how to live.

What every Indian should know about marital rape

Good write up !!we need men’s ministry/commission to address Men’s issues, else every year a new criminal law might be introduced against men..

The Male Factor

As an Indian it is time that you know about marital rape. Recently feminists are trying to bring a separate law criminalizing marital rape in India. On the face of it common Indians will not find anything wrong in that unless they know that marital rape is already a crime under IPC 498a, DV Act and IPC 354. But when this already exists as a criminal offence why are feminists trying to bring another section to criminalize the same. Let’s understand the feminist perspective first by watching the NDTV debate “We The People” –

Barkha Dutt trying to be the feminist messiah here brings two victims of marital rape on the show with covered faces and showing a horrific picture of rape that happens in marital relation. She paints a grim image of a love marriage where the bride claims to have undergone horrific torture for one year before filling…
